Sneak Peek of Converse Winter 14 in Sydney

It was a whirlwind trip to Sydney and back in the same day to peep some of the new styles that Converse will be dropping next year. Tie-dye, vibrant hidden platforms, old-school vintage and animal print are amongst some of what you can look forward to. There were a couple of hard-working artists who spent hours customising our white chucks, and because I am a geek I came home, bought a fabric pen and customised my own, ha. We were fed with mini brioche-bun burgers, hot-dogs, toasties and massive helpings of chocolate mud-cake and pastel coloured gooey salty caramel cake pops. My belly was about ready to burst by the time we left. Good shoes and good food, it was a good day.

[…] On Friday morning I woke up at 4:00am in order to get to the airport at 5:00am for my 7:00am flight to Sydney. I was lucky enough to be one of 10 people to be flown over for the day by Converse, to check out the Winter 2014 ranges. Our flight touched down at around 8:30am Sydney time. What ensued was a day of fun, basically. We were seated and brunching at Bills by 10:00am, and by 12:00pm we were checking out Converse Winter 2014, customizing our own pairs of chucks (see what I got the illustrator to do to mine above), tie dye-ing tees and socks, and scoffing mini burgers and cake.  3:45pm and we were on our way back to the airport. 11:40pm (NZ time) and we were home. Whirlwind and fantastic. Photographic evidence of all the above, here. […]
